چکیده
Classical discharge theory (Townsend and streamer theory) has limitations in explaining nanosecond pulsed gas discharge. In recent years, the research on based high-energy runaway electrons attracted extensive attention. But so far, there have been few studies of generation mechanism atmospheric-pressure-air plate-to-plate discharge, which seriously hinders application development pulse plasma. this paper, a one-dimensional implicit particle-in-cell/Monte Carlo collision (PIC/MCC) model is developed to investigate electron breakdown 1 mm-long gap between plate electrode driven by negative voltage with an amplitude 20 kV. The results show that under influence space charge dynamic behavior, electric field enhancement region appears electrode, can satisfy criteria behaves mode. addition, it also observed pre-ionization effect front channel cause secondary avalanches. As avalanche continues converge, guided accelerated, eventually leading air gap. This study further reveals plate-plate expands basic opens up new opportunities for

Needle-array to Plate DBD Plasma Using Sine AC and Nanosecond Pulse Excitations for Purpose of Improving Indoor Air Quality
In this study, needle-array to plate electrode configuration was employed to generate an atmospheric air diffuse discharge using both nanosecond pulse and sine AC voltage as excitation voltage for the purpose of improving indoor air quality. Different types of voltage sources and electrode configurations are employed to optimize electrical field distribution and improve discharge stability. Dis...
متن کاملEffect of Length-scale Parameter on Pull-in Voltage and Natural Frequency of a Micro-plate
This paper deals with the effect of the intrinsic material length-scale parameter on the stability and natural frequency of a rectangular micro-plate for two different cases; fully clamped and fully simply supported. A variational formulation based on Hamilton’s principle and the modified couple stress theory is used to obtain the nonlinear governing equation of a micro-plate incorporating the ...
متن کاملVoltage Sensing using MEMS Parallel-Plate Actuation
Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) have been proposed as DC electrical metrology references. The design reported here is the first to enhance the qualities of a MEMS DC reference with potential tuning and sensing via an isolated and monolithically integrated MEMS technology and, thereby, convert a stable parallel-plate voltage reference to a simple, sensitive, low-burden voltage sensor. This...
متن کاملPlate Tectonics: A Paradigm Under Threat
This paper looks at the challenges confronting plate tectonics— the ruling paradigm in the earth sciences. The classical model of thin lithospheric plates moving over a global asthenosphere is shown to be implausible. Evidence is presented that appears to contradict continental drift, seafloor spreading, and subduction, as well as the claim that the oceanic crust is relatively young. The proble...
متن کاملFlutter modes of a flexible plate in an air flow
The flutter instability resulting from the interaction of a flexible plate with a fluid flow is experimentally investigated. The present visualizations are obtained with two square plates (i.e. of aspect ratio H/L = 1, see the sketch of the experiment in Fig. 1.) made in a plastic sheet (of flexural rigidity 4.8 10-4 kg m 2 s-2) and of length L = 8 and 21 cm. Experiments are performed in the ho...
